a) Mercadona es la segunda empresa familiar mas grande de espanya y se dedica a la distribuci?n de productos en forma de supermercado. Sus puntos fuertes son:
? Satisfaccion del cliente, mediante la estabilidad en los precios, los cuales siempre son atractivos, Siempre Precios Bajos, desechando la realizacion de ofertas gancho.
? Compromiso de los empleados ofreciendoles estabilidad en el puesto de trabajo, homogenizacion de niveles y responsabilidades, formacion continuada, incentivos sobre objetivos y unos salarios ligeramente por encima de la media del sector.
? Vinculacion con los proveedores basada en la confianza, relaciones a largo plazo, estabilidad y colaboracion.
? Compromiso etico con el desarrollo y proteccion de la sociedad.
? Vinculacion con el Capital mediante un aumento de la productividad y una constancia en los beneficios.

b) Creemos que Mercadona tiene un modelo de negocio muy bueno, que fomenta las marcas blancas en deterioro de las mas conocidas, y que podria mejorar unicamente en lo que respecta a las responsabilidad social, implicandose en mas proyectos con tal de ayudar al medio ambiente y a otras causas sociales que incurran en su ambito de negocio.
c) Mercadona hace grandes esfuerzos para fomentar el respeto por el medio ambiente y demostrar cara el publico que se implica en el tema. El ejemplo mas claro es la substitucion de sus viejas bolsas de plastico por unas nuevas reutilizables. Ademas en sus instalaciones podemos encontrar la ultima tecnologia a nivel de SELECCION Y ENVASADO, que ha sido homologada por la ?Certificacion ISO-9001? de aseguramiento de calidad y, donde diariamente se controlan todas las partidas tanto de materias primas como el producto terminado en el laboratorio microbiologico instalado para este fin, cuyo frente hay 6 tecnicos de laboratorio.

d) Confiamos y creemos en Mercadona debido a que no es protagonista de grandes escandalos, a parte de que la companyia dispone de su propio modelo de aseguramiento de la calidad. Ademas segun su presidente Juan Roig, su estrategia central se ha resumido en la uni?n de buenos salarios junto con una alta productividad, aplicando un modelo de gesti?n enfocado en el cliente denominado Gesti?n de Calidad Total (GCT), este hecho evita las quejas y las huelgas. Por ultimo la politica social que se basa en contrataciones indefinidas de la totalidad de la plantilla, acciones tendentes a la conciliacion de la vida laboral con la no apertura en festivos, apoyo a la natalidad con un mes mas de licencia por embarazo y el reparto de un porcentaje del beneficio entre los empleados que alcancen los objetivos propuestos. Con todo esto se logra mantener al personal contento y productivo.

    In my point of view, Mercadona is one of the best supermarkets in Spain, because of the way it is organized.

    Mercadona is different from the other supermarkets, mostly, because it gives more importance to the products made by themselves, I mean not brand products, than the known brand ones. Also a good point is that they tried to respect the environment as well as they can, so it made people to have a better image of these supermarkets.

    Moreover, most of the people who go to Mercadona to buy, they go because they can buy the same amount of products that they will buy in other supermarkets, but with cheaper prices.

    About the social relation with their employees, they give a good salary to them and give good work conditions, they do not open during the holydays days, they give a month to those workers who already had a baby… With all of that they try to keep their employees as happy as they can.

    Despite of all these positive aspects, I think the company should offer more products than the ones they already do because sometimes they don’t have all the things that you need and that other competitors have.

    Mercadona it’s a well-known distribution company in Spain. This fact gives to the company a good image for the customers. Mercadona has rapidly expanding around the country in order to supply the demand in a lot of cities in Spain.

    One of the positive aspects of the company is that their supermarkets offer a wide range of products, not only alimentary products, but also cosmetics and household products. This implies to attract a high number of customers.
    The relationship between the price and quality it’s one of the strengths of Mercadona. They also are concerned about the environment and they take care of it.

    Another positive aspect is the fact that we can find generic brands, which are quality products that are sold in a lower price and they continue having the same acceptation for the customers. In my opinion, the fact that generic brands exist makes people consume more.
    We also can find negative aspects that the company should improve to offer a better service such as offer more type of product brands and other type of products.

    To sum up, I think that not only the customers but also the employees are satisfied with the company.

    I choose Mercadona because of two important things that this company has:

    The first one is that is one of the most important supermarkets, but is most important that is a family company, here in Spain we have so many family companies as Inditex or Mercadona, where the bosses are the family that started the store, so we can learn that with a little bit effort of a company can rise up and finally be one of the most important supermarkets of all Spain.

    The second is that this company tries to help the women when they are pregnant, that is so important because there are companies where you are a woman you have less pain in and minus benefits. In this company everybody is equal and also for women they have more vacations when the pregnancy period.

    To conclude, I think that they are doing a good job and they are expanding their company every year to more places, it is cheaper and better that other supermarkets because everything of the white brands that they have are from Spain, so they help other Spanish companies.

    From my point of view, the analysis has been performed about Mercadona is very good, because I also believe that Mercadona is a good business model and in addition has maintained a key strategy to grow and to become known.

    On one hand, I think Mercadona has earned the trust of its customers due to they provide products with good quality and excellent prices, moreover is very important that the company consider the purchasing power of people and at ease can have when they purchase their products, it was also a reason which Mercadona has approached different types of segments.

    Also another very important aspect is that they are concerned about the high quality of its products, having its own quality control to ensure the safety of its products and also looking after the environment.

    On the other hand, a very important aspect are the employees, as they are essential for the company to go on, for this reason Mercadona offers a good salary, gives stability in the job, training and incentives on objectives set by the company, which can help motivate employees to improve their effort and as a consequence productivity.

    In conclusion, I think Mercadona must follow its strategy of low prices and should continue giving much importance their employees to have a good relationship both internally and externally with customers.
